Paula Reed is style director of the international award winning UK fashion magazine, Grazia. Launched in 2004 it is selling over 1,000,000 copies a month and is widely acclaimed as one of the style industry’s hottest fashion books.
Paula’s TV credits include ‘Twiggy’s Frock Exchange’ for BBC2 which was recently transmitted on BBC2. ‘A-Listers Unzipped’ for UTKV Style and E! in Canada which was shown in March 2008, ‘Project Catwalk’ on Sky One (Jan-Mar 08) and ‘10 Years Younger’ on Channel 4. All this and she has still found time to write her first book ‘How To Dress’ which will be published in the US by Harper Collins.
Born and educated in Ireland, Paula moved to London in the 1980’s in the middle of London’s renaissance as a booming international fashion capital. On PR guru Lynne Franks team, she worked with superstar designers Katharine Hamnett and Body Map and later with Jasper Conran and Rifat Ozbek.
In the 1990’s Paula became a fashion editor, starting as deputy on the iconic Independent fashion pages and ending up with a six year stint as fashion director on The Sunday Times. There followed positions as fashion director on UK Harpers Bazaar, Conde Nast Traveller and In Style. During this time, her freelance writing appeared in publications as varied as The Financial Times, British Vogue, Elle Decoration and Town and Country in the US.
