Aaron Craze

Aaron Craze, a graduate from Fifteen in London, has recently taken over The Cock Inn, Beazley End, transforming this lovely country pub into a vibrant, up and coming Italian inspired pub & restaurant. The journey he and his partner Nicci took from inner city Londoners to first time restaurateurs was followed in the Channel 4 documentary 'Jamie's Chef' which aired in the UK in January 2007 and will be shown in over 25 countries around the World including Australia, Japan and Canada.

Aaron joined Fifteen as one of the second group of trainees (the year after the TV series 'Jamie's Kitchen' aired in 2002). Prior to joining Fifteen, Aaron had left school with no formal qualifications as he suffered from dyslexia which was not identified whilst at school. He flitted from job to job before settling down with his partner Nicci and having their first child, Leah. He then decided it was time to get a proper job and, after seeing 'Jamie's Kitchen', he applied for the course. Aaron had always enjoyed cooking but the Fifteen Chef Training Programme really developed a passion for food which he shares with Jamie. Aaron graduated with merit in 2004 and has since worked at The Ivy and also in the kitchen at Fifteen working his way up from trainee to chef de partie.

During his time at Fifteen, Aaron and ex-Head Chef Andy Appleton, won ?Best Pasta? dish in the 2005 'Restaurant Magazine UK Best Dish Awards'. He has gone on to feature in a variety of magazines from Good Food to More, as well as receiving great reviews in the Sunday Times Magazine and the Sunday Telegraph. One if his favourite recipes will be featured in the 'BBC Children In Need' book.

Aaron is a natural talent on screen which has been showcased in his TV appearances on ITV's 'This Morning' and "Market Kitchen". He is best known for his simple, rustic, Italian style food, which focuses on using the freshest produce, particularly his beautiful fresh bread and signature pasta dishes. Aaron's team at The Cock Inn has recently received their first AA Rosette, which is a fantastic testament to their hard work and determination to deliver high quality, seasonal food to the local clientele.

Aaron's first book 'Aaron Cooks Italian' is out in June 2008.
